Why do headlights turn yellow and hazy?
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate plastic, and years of Texas UV exposure oxidize the clear coat, turning it yellow and cloudy. It's a cosmetic and safety issue — hazy lenses can cut usable light output significantly at night.
How long does headlight restoration take?
Most headlight restorations are same-day service — we sand out the oxidation in stages, polish to full clarity, then seal with a UV-resistant ceramic coat so it doesn't just look clear for a few weeks.
Will restored headlights turn yellow again?
Not if they're sealed correctly. We finish every restoration with a UV ceramic coat specifically because a polish alone without a real UV barrier will haze again within months in Texas sun.
